The finishing of woven labels depends on the place where the label is located in the garment and the way it is applied.
Woven labels could be supplied with the following finishings :
- End folded.
In this case, woven labels are sewn in both ends (left and right). They are generally placed in the collar of shirts, interior of trousers, etc.
- Center folded.
In this case, woven labels are sewn in the upper end. This woven label is holding from the garment like a flag. This ending is usual to find them in the T-shirts collars.
- Shelf adhesive & straight cut
Some woven labels require adhesive at the back. This application is very common in labels which go on the insole of the shoes. Once it is stuck on the surface, is frequent to do sewing in the ends right and left of the woven label to avoid that the adhesive got loose. We receive frequent requests about the possibility of using this kind of woven labels on garments. Our recommendation is to do the application by sewing in order to guarantee it is well stuck to the garment. Using adhesive only would probably cause the loose of the label. That is why we always recommend sewing it.
5- Stand out the Brand in the woven label.
The purpose of the woven label is enhancing the Brand of the product and attracts the attention of the consumer. The plainer the background is, to avoid disturbing the attention from the Brand, the better communication with the consumer. On this occasion the theory about” less is more” is perfectly suitable. The utilization of woven labels with plain backgrounds where the contrast between it and the brand is correct and allow a perfect legibility generates excellent results.
